Present your membership card whenever you borrow or return toys.

You may borrow the toys for two weeks.
Your family may borrow up to four toys, four puzzles or games, three DVD’s  and one family resource

Duties
If you have chosen to pay membership fee option one, you are required to do at least one duty per term and are entitled to free hire of toys (to a value set by the committee) on the days worked. If you are unable to work your assigned duty it is YOUR responsibility to swap with another person and also notify the Duty/Membership Officer.

Overdue Toys
Overdue toys will incur a fine of $1 per toy per rental period. You will also be required to pay rental for the overdue period involved.

Dirty Toys
Care of toys you borrow is your responsibility.  Please return them clean and tidy, in the condition you would like to receive them! A great deal of time and effort from the committee is put into the repair and maintenance of the toys.  Your care helps to maintain their condition. A $2 fine will be charged if toys are brought back unclean and you will be directed to the wash-up facilities to clean them.

Loss and/or damage
Toys break even in normal play. Don’t be embarrassed if this happens to you. Please notify us of missing or broken parts when you return the toys.

Lost parts:  A replacement charge of $5 per piece, bag or instruction will be levied for lost pieces. For pieces that are essential for the play value of the toy, the committee will decide on the charge levied and you may be asked to contribute to the cost of replacement. These fines will be refunded on return of the missing piece(s) provided it/they are returned within 6 months.

Broken parts: A replacement charge of $5 will be charged per broken part. (Non-refundable). The Toy Library Committee will consider extensive damage.  This may result in you being asked to contribute to the cost of repair or replacement.
Replacement Family Toy Bags will cost $5.

No further toys may be borrowed until all fines are paid.  Persistent lateness in returning toys may result in cancellation of your membership

Checking Toys
When you are in the library please be aware that each toy is packed and checked in its own bag. It would be appreciated that you keep each toy in this condition.  The rostered duty person must check toys on issue and return. It is a good idea to check the toy immediately when you get home before your child starts to play to check for any missing pieces etc.

Toys at Home
At the end of each play session at home, we ask that you put the library toys away in their library bags or boxes or in your family bag. This keeps them separate from your own toys and makes it much easier when you come to return them.

Please do not exchange Library toys with friends even if they are toy library members. All library toys borrowed by you must remain in your home.
